We've landed in London. I haven't slept a wink. It's all part of my grand plan of dealing with jet lag. I am so under prepared for this.
We got through the airport and onto the Piccadilly Line the underground to Ealing Station. I've decided that any holiday with a subway, makes me very, very happy. We arrived at our station and took a taxi to our little place. The Grange Lodge Hotel B and B.
It's a cute little place, like, little, little. We have our own bathroom, but we can't be in there at the same time.
We dumped our bags and headed downtown. Back on the subway to Westminister Station. We came up out of the subway in the shadow of Big Ben.
I did what I have told my kids NEVER to do while discovering New York. Don't look up and gasp.
.......and I did.
I was in overwhelming mode, trying to take it all in.
Kent and I wandered around and around.
We found a little pub called "The Badger" established in 1777 and had dinner. It was cute, tiny, it even had a working dumb waiter.
At that point, we were feeling every bit of our very long day and headed back to our place in Ealing.
I was asleep at 8 and was awake at 3, then fell back to sleep before 4--and didn't wake until 9.30 the next morning.
No jet lag for me!
