We headed downtown again this time going to Downing Street, the Churchill War Rooms. We were highly anticipating this. At the end of World War II, the people in the war rooms, turned off the lights, closed the doors and they forgot about it.
So under Downing Street, the government officials find these rooms and reopen them, and make a museum out of it. This was going to become a theme. That the people of UK boarded up a street, a building or area and walk away....and forget that it's there. Until a new generation needs the space and voila! A museum!

From the war rooms we walked to Birdcage Walk, to St. James Park, down The Mall, Buckingham Palace Constitution Hill to Hyde Park, around the Diana Memorial and then had dinner at The Old Monk.
When we got into St. James Park and I caught sight of the Victoria Monument in front of Buckingham Palace, I was just in awe, we were standing on a little bridge, looking one way, a gorgeous view of the City, the other direction the Palace. I was so excited!
Nearing the end of our time at the War Rooms, my battery died in my camera, so I had to switch to my phone. More photos to come.
