We planned an evening with our boys, dinner and a movie:
Now, I'm leavin on a jet plane! In any trip we take, money is cherished and not wasted. So, here we are at the bus stop near our house ready to take the bus to the BC Ferry and we're outta here for 18 glorious days!
We got on our free ferry, (Max had his own free ticket):
Sunset May 1, 2015 - Vancouver International Airport
I brought an Adult Colouring book.
Kent and Max stoked for a 9 hour and 10 minute flight.....
And we are off!
My plan for jet lag on the way to the UK is easy. Stay awake. So between movies and colouring and reading some great Stephen Lawhead, I was happy as can be and completely awake the whole trip.
On our way to Greenland:
Not sure what this is....
Playdough and Colouring.
Oh, I remember, it was a dog chasing the bicycle...although it looks like a fish.
Then someone took a turn at colouring...between napping....
We landed in London right on time, we got onto the underground and got to our place in South Ealing--arriving at about 4 pm. We had a triple room, (the only one that was left in the place). We decided that going into London would take too long, so we hung out in South Ealing.
We went to a cute little pub called The New Inn, which is probably older than most things in our neighbourhood.
Inside the pub:
We had a good "pub meal" and then wandered our neighbourhood for a bit, went back to the room and watched a little TV before trying to get to sleep. You'd think that was easy, it had been easily 30 hours we had been up. It wasn't. Sigh, gotta love the fact that I am like a kid in a candy store, or a kid anticipating Christmas. I was awake every 2 hours.
