May 7th - Drumnadrochit, Ben Nevis Distillery and Glencoe Wood

The morning started in sun--glorious, warm sun!

We took a little road trip to Glencoe Wood where the property is.

Not sure where exactly this is, but we thought we should get out of the car and stretch--and found this amazing view

 A photo bomb!

My heart.  He makes me so happy and makes me laugh:

And where's Jon....?

Ben Nevis Distillery

The Whiskey smelled TERRIBLE and tasted meh.  Not so into peaty, smoky caskey whiskey, but I like the photos I can take around their property!

We eventually made our way to the property.   It's a funny thing a gift.  Kent got a gift from Melissa and Jon, property in Scotland.  That makes Kent and official Laird of Glencoe and I am his Lady.  The land is ours and we can will it to our children and our grandchildren!  There are some rules, Kent can't shoot or hunt on his land...but that's ok, we set it up so that it's pretty self sufficient and well guarded.  We spent time on this trip taking our kids to our land.

It's a park in Glencoe called Highland Titles, the person in charge of all this is trying to bring this property back to what should be in Scotland.  When we were there 18 months ago, it didn't look as good as it did now!

Max and Jon clearing the land and rescuing our Pirates from the overgrowth of grass....

Pirates defending the Lairds Land!

Another family photo, this time with the Pirates!

The view from the top!

Finding the guest book and our last entry

Castle Ruins

That must be climbed.  According to the Horie Family.

And again, we didn't get to Urquhart Castle....before it closed.

Loch Ness

The Loch Ness Glamping Hairy Coo!  He's adorable.

What we didn't catch on film today--Melissa and I had a chance to feed the orphan lambs.  It was so fun!
